Cirrus IQ is a connected ecosystem for the SR-Series and Vision Jet. You may keep track of your aircraft status and health from nearly anywhere, including fuel, fluid levels, hours and see the last known location. Cirrus IQ is powered by an LTE-cellular module installed in the aircraft that sends relevant flight data to the Cirrus Cloud at the conclusion of most flights.

All Vision Jet aircraft produced after July 1st, 2023 (Serials 0463+) have Cirrus IQ hardware installed.

How do I subscribe to Cirrus IQ PRO?

All connected aircraft owners enjoy a fee trial of IQ PRO until December 31, 2025 and subscriptions will begin on January 1, 2026.

How much is Cirrus IQ PRO?

Pricing will be announced and communicated to all connected aircraft owners in late-2025.

Can I use the Cirrus IQ app offline?

Cirrus IQ updates aircraft and flight data at the conclusion of a flight after powering down or after a ‘Sync Now’ request, thus it is optimized for an internet connection. You may navigate the app offline but will not be able to perform a ‘Sync Now’ request, update inspection information, add/remove users unless you have an internet connection.

ADD or REMOVE AIRCRAFT + USERS
How do I set up my account and connect my aircraft?
  • You must have a Cirrus Account and a connected aircraft to use Cirrus IQ features – register at cirrusaircraft.com
  • The Cirrus Delivery team will setup accounts for new aircraft deliveries and provide instructions to access Cirrus IQ and IQ PRO.
  • To setup Cirrus IQ for a pre-owned aircraft, you must have a Cirrus Account, then login to the Cirrus IQ app or at Cirrusaircraft.com and follow these steps to add an aircraft:
    1. If you are connected to an existing aircraft, click the User Menu (top-right)
    2. Select ‘Manage Aircraft’
    3. Select ‘Add new aircraft’
    4. Enter the serial number of the aircraft, which may be found on the exterior data plate affixed to the aircraft tail
    5. Enter the registration number, commonly referred to as the Tail Number
    6. Select the aircraft model; SR20, SR22, SR22T, or SF50 (button will turn blue)
    7. Upload proof of ownership
      1. Registration
      2. Bill of Sale
    8. Click ‘Next’ to review
    9. Click ‘Submit’
    10. Cirrus IQ Support will review the submission within 48 hours and add the aircraft to your account or may request additional information as necessary.
How do I add users to Cirrus IQ?

Any Owner or Aircraft Manager may invite additional users. Pilots do not have the ability to invite new users to an aircraft.

 

From Mobile:

  1. Click the User Menu (Top-right)
  2. Select ‘Manage Aircraft’
  3. Click the aircraft you want to invite a user to
  4. Scroll down to the ‘Connected Users’ list
  5. Select ‘Add New User’
  6. Enter the user’s Cirrus Account email, or if they do not have a Cirrus Account, a new account will be generated for them with the email that is entered
  7. Choose their role: Owner, Manager, or Pilot
  8. Click ‘Add User’

From My Hangar at Cirrusaircraft.com:

    1. Click the Aircraft you want to remove
    2. Select ‘Aircraft Settings’
    3. Click ‘Add New User’ under ‘Connected Users’
    4. Enter the user’s Cirrus Account email, or if they do not have a Cirrus Account, a new account will be generated for them with the email that is entered
    5. Choose their role: Owner, Manager, or Pilot
    6. Click ‘Add User’

 

Is it possible to connect to multiple aircraft with one account?

Can I grant access to my aircraft in Cirrus IQ to a CSIP Instructor, Cirrus Training Center, or Authorized Service Center?

Yes – You may grant access to any entity or individual with an email address.

How do I remove a user from Cirrus IQ?

Any Owner can remove any user role, and any Aircraft Manager can remove any other Aircraft Manager or Pilot. Owners are responsible for removing all users if the aircraft has been sold.

From Mobile:

    5. Select the user to be removed

I sold my aircraft. How do I remove it from Cirrus IQ?

Please remove all users from the aircraft before you remove it from your account.

REMOTE AIRCRAFT SYNC
How do I remotely sync aircraft data?

A Cirrus IQ PRO subscription is required for Remote Aircraft Sync. Tap on the blue ‘Sync Now’ button, and the sync process will begin after you confirm the advisory message. Remote Aircraft Sync typically takes 3 to 5 minutes depending on a variety of factors:

  • Cellular signal strength at the aircraft location
  • External factors such as metal hangars or terrain which may prevent the aircraft from receiving the sync command
  • Aircraft battery charge level – Cirrus IQ is a smart system and has a strict battery budget to preserve engine start capability
    • Remote Aircraft Sync is disabled when aircraft battery voltage is at or below these levels:
      • SR2X G6 24.6 volts (BAT1)
      • SR2X G7 25.9 volts (BAT1)
      • Vision Jet 26.25 volts (BAT2)
What should I do if a Remote Aircraft Sync request fails?

There is a 10-minute limit between Remote Aircraft Sync requests. When this limit has expired you may try again. A Remote Aircraft Sync request may fail for a variety of reasons:

  • Cellular signal strength at the aircraft location is dependent on a variety of conditions including hangars, terrain or obstructions, and may interfere with the aircraft’s ability to receive your sync request
  • The aircraft battery is below the allowable budget and the IQ system is in deep sleep mode
Does my aircraft constantly broadcast data to Cirrus?

No – the aircraft only transmits data at the conclusion of a flight, or when a user clicks ‘Sync Now’.

Does Cirrus IQ drain my aircraft battery?

There is a slight battery drain while Cirrus IQ hardware listens for a Remote Aircraft Sync command. However, the Cirrus IQ hardware installed in aircraft monitors battery voltage and has a strict battery budget to preserve engine start capability. Cirrus IQ will shut down and enter deep sleep when this battery budget has been consumed.

 

  • Once battery state of charge is below the allowed budget for Cirrus IQ, Remote Aircraft Sync is disabled, and the module shuts down
  • Cirrus IQ remains in deep sleep until the battery is sufficiently charged again
  • Cirrus IQ shares the same circuit with the Convenience System which includes remote keyless entry and convenience lighting – this system will continue to draw power even if Cirrus IQ is in deep sleep
  • If your aircraft sits idle for extended periods between flights, it is recommended to follow the guidance in your Airplane Flying Manual for short or long-term storage and take proper steps to maintain battery charge
MY TRIPS, UTILIZATION & FLIGHT SUMMARY
What is the difference between Utilization and My Trips?

Utilization is the list of all flights for an aircraft. All users invited to an aircraft may see all the flights in the Utilization list. My Trips is the list of flights that the user was named as Pilot in the Flight Summary. When a flight is selected from the Utilization list, that opens the Flight Summary. From there, you may choose the Pilot of the flight, and the flight will appear in the My Trips section for that user only and add the relevant flight details to their Achievements, if applicable.

Is it possible to add the Pilot after a flight has been completed?

The user must first be invited to the aircraft by an Owner or Manager. Once they are invited to the aircraft, find the flight, open the Flight Summary, and change the Pilot to the desired user.

Why does the map on Flight Summary only show a straight line between points?

The actual flight path is a feature improvement coming soon to IQ PRO. Currently, the path from origin to destination is shown and does not include any intermediary stops along the way. If the origin and destination are the same, the airport is highlighted in the map.

How do I add or edit the pilot, flight purpose, or passenger manifest?
  1. Visit your online portal by logging into your account at cirrusaircraft.com
  2. Click on a flight record from Utilization or My Trips
  3. Choose a pilot from the list of users invited to that aircraft
  4. Choose a purpose under ‘Flight Type’
  5. Click ‘Add Passengers’ to create a passenger manifest
How do I export flight data from the aircraft as a .csv file?
  1. Click on any flight to view the Flight Summary
  2. Click on the download icon
  3. Save the file to your preferred location
How do I export trip logs to a .csv file?
  1. From My Hangar, click on Utilization
  2. Filter the list of flights you want to export
  3. Click on the download icon
  4. Save the file to your preferred location
What CAS Messages are logged in Cirrus IQ?

Only Yellow Caution or Red Warning messages that occur while in-flight are displayed in Flight Summary cards. The time of the first occurrence is noted in the card when expanded.

APPROACH SCORE BETA
How does Approach Score work?

Approach Score looks at five separate items during the landing phase of flight and scores each category in varying weights up to 100 points.

Does Approach Score work at every airport?

Approach Score is currently available at United States airports where published runway data is available. Cirrus is working hard to expand the availability of Approach Score including to international airports. If the required data is not available, the landing is not score due to missing information.

Does Cirrus see and/or monitor Approach Scores?

No – customer fleet data is de-identified and is not monitored. Pilots should consult with their CSIP (Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilot) if they have questions about their Approach Score results.

INSPECTIONS and LIFE LIMITED PARTS
How do I track and manage aircraft inspections or life limited parts?
  1. Click the ‘Activate’ button on the inspection or part you want to track
  2. If the aircraft has not had the specific inspection or part serviced, choose ‘No’ – this will automatically choose the aircraft’s birthday (Certificate of Airworthiness date) and 0 Flight Hours to track from
  3. If the aircraft has had the specific inspection or part serviced, choose ‘Yes’ and enter the date and Flight Hours from the latest airframe or engine logbook label service entry
  4. Airworthiness Items require the user to enter the expiration date found in the latest logbook entry
Will Cirrus IQ PRO notify me when an inspection is due?

Yes – when an inspection becomes due, a push notification will be sent to all users for an aircraft.

How do I set custom intervals for inspection reminders?
  1. Click on ellipsis (3 dot) of the inspection you want to set a custom reminder on
  2. Click ‘Set Reminder’
  3. Choose the specific date, or flight hours at which you want to receive a reminder notification
What does the ‘Edit’ function do on an inspection card?

The edit function allows users to rectify an entry in the event wrong information was entered, and to ensure the correct due date and/or hours will be communicated for the specific inspection.

Will Inspections or Life Limited Parts automatically update after service has been completed at an authorized Cirrus Service Center?

No – users must enter the inspection date and flight hours of the service to reset the interval.

Automatic Database Updates
What is required for Automatic Database Updates?
  1. You must have a Cirrus IQ PRO subscription 
  2. Your aircraft must be equipped with a Garmin GDL 60 datalink module (Currently only available in SR-Series G7+) 
  3. You must have an active database subscription with Garmin 
  4. You must accept the aircraft in your flyGarmin account 
  5. You must link your flyGarmin account in the Cirrus IQ mobile app or Cirrus Portal 

 

If there are multiple owners of an aircraft, the owner who was connected to the aircraft first in IQ PRO must: 

  • Ensure the aircraft is in their flyGarmin account  
  • Link flyGarmin to IQ PRO via the Connected Accounts menu within the Settings menu in the IQ mobile app or within the Cirrus Portal > User Menu (top-right) > Settings > Connected Accounts 

This allows any other invited user (Other Owners, Managers or Pilots) in IQ PRO to see Database status without the need to link additional flyGarmin accounts.  

What is the GDL 60?

The Garmin GDL 60 datalink module is a line replaceable unit (LRU) that wirelessly connects your aircraft to enable IQ PRO features, and the ability to download the latest database updates and remotely sync aircraft status. It features 4G LTE cellular and WIFI connectivity – an IQ PRO subscription and separate database subscription is required to enable these features. 

How does the GDL 60 update the aircraft’s databases?

When new databases become available, the GDL 60 will wake up at a scheduled time (adjustable in settings) using battery power. The GDL 60 will download all new and available databases.  When the avionics are powered on, the GDL 60 will synchronize databases across the displays. 

  • Databases that will update on the initial boot up of the avionics: 
    • Navigation
    • SafeTaxi® diagrams 
    • Airport Directory
    • Obstacles  
  • Databases that will activate on the next power cycle 
    • Terrain
    • Basemap  
       
  • Databases that will sync in the background: 
    • FliteCharts® electronic procedure charts issued by the AeroNav Services division of the FAA ChartView™ electronic approach charts issued by Jeppesen
    • IFR/VFR Charts 
       

*If there is a database SD card in the system, the GDL 60 will NOT update the avionics because the SD card has the priority.  Please remove all database SD cards from the avionics when using Automatic Downloads or Database Concierge. 

Will the Automatic Database Update feature drain my aircraft battery?

No –  the GDL 60 monitors battery voltage and won’t operate below certain limits. It’s designed to protect your battery and shut down after its allowed power budget is depleted. If your aircraft will be parked for more than 30 days, please refer to Section 8 – Parking in your Airplane Flying Manual (AFM) for guidance on preserving aircraft battery power related to the Convenience System (keyless entry and lighting). The Convenience System does not shut itself down and continues to draw power, even when the GDL 60 has been turned off. Cirrus recommends a battery tender for aircraft that do not fly frequently. 

What if my charts don’t look updated in the avionics of my aircraft?

Make sure: 

  • The GDL 60 has completed downloading 
  • No SD cards are plugged in
  • Your IQ PRO subscription is active and linked correctly 
  • Your database subscription is active and linked correctly (especially with Jeppesen) 
Can I still use SD cards or Flight Stream 510 instead of Automatic Database Updates?

SD cards work – however they take priority and can block GDL 60 automatic database updates if the SD card is left installed in the lower SD card slot in the Multi-Function Display (MFD). 

 

Flight Stream 510 is not compatible and should be removed—GDL 60 replaces its functions. 

What charts can GDL 60 download?

It supports both: 

  • FliteCharts® (FAA) 
  • ChartView™ (Jeppesen – requires separate & active Jeppesen subscription and you must link your accounts at flygarmin.com)
